DLSS 5 Swapper v2.2.9 is a free MIT Windows desktop app by Rakan Alkhaldi (community project). The public landing still shows Download, features and checksums only. This hub exists so search engines and AI crawlers can open a clean HTML/Markdown URL for the topic.

Native DLSS games upgrade in place. Non-DLSS DX9/11/12, Vulkan and OpenGL titles use the DLSS5-Feeder route. The F8 overlay tunes the neural pass live. Restore originals puts every file back.

• Is DLSS 5 Swapper safe? For single-player use with verified hashes, yes. It never bypasses anti-cheat and always keeps restore.
• Is DLSS 5 Swapper a virus? No. Unsigned builds can trip Defender heuristics; verify SHA-256 and avoid re-uploads.
• Can I get banned? Yes, in online anti-cheat games. Use single-player only and restore before multiplayer.
• Is DLSS 5 Swapper legal? Swapper is free MIT software that manages DLSS files and community mods in games you own, with Restore originals always available. It ships no games. Game EULAs and online terms still apply, so injected routes stay single-player.
• Which GPUs are supported? RTX 20, 30, 40 and 50 on Feeder routes. Bundled OptiScaler model is Blackwell-only.
• Does it work on AMD? Not for the neural path. Radeon lacks the NVIDIA runtime; use FSR routes instead.
• Does it work on laptops? Yes on RTX laptops with current drivers. Use conservative passes and stay plugged in.
• Does it work on Steam Deck? No. Windows 10/11 x64 only; Proton paths are experimental and unsupported.
• Do games need native DLSS? No. Feeder covers non-DLSS DX9/11/12, Vulkan and OpenGL titles.
• Which emulators work? PCSX2, RPCS3, Cemu, Dolphin, DuckStation, Xenia, shadPS4 and more via Feeder and Multipass.
• How do I install a route? Scan, open the game, press Install, test borderless, tune F8.
• How do I restore? Close the game, open it in Swapper, click Restore originals.
• What is the F8 overlay? Swapper's live neural panel: Style, Intensity, Structure, Skin and stabiliser.
• What is Multipass? Up to 10 neural passes per frame with per-pass controls. Press Home in game.
• OptiScaler on older cards? Supply your own modded nvngx_dlssnr.dll. The app never overwrites it.
• Which driver? Any current Game Ready driver. Re-install pre-2.2.8 routes once.
• Which Windows? Windows 10/11 64-bit. No Linux binaries.
• Do I need VC++ runtimes? Yes: x64, plus x86 for 32-bit games on the Feeder path.
• ReShade conflicts? One injector owner per hook. Let Swapper own the ReShade file it installs.
• Game crashes after install? Restore, remove conflicts, re-install one route, test borderless.
• Overlay will not open? Needs 64-bit DX11/DX12 Feeder or RenoDX with Swapper running. Multipass uses Home.
• Feeder has no output? Check renderer, bitness, ReShade file choice and depth input.
• dxgi.dll or d3d11.dll? Pick whichever the wrapped game actually loads; v2.2.9 offers the choice.
• How do I update? Read the component table, restore sensitive games, install the new build, re-install routes.
• How do I uninstall? Restore every game first. Uninstalling the app alone leaves game folders untouched.
• Portable or installer? Same components. Portable for USB/test rigs; installer for daily use.
• Does it work offline? Yes after install. Community features are opt-in.
